Ronald L. Boydston, 68, Topeka, passed away in his sleep on Friday, March 19, 2010 at home. He was born November 20, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of John and Maxine Boydston.
Ron graduated from Coffeyville High School in 1959 and from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Ron served honorably in the United States Air Force. He made a life long career as a State Farm Claims Specialist for over 38 years helping people in disasters. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and golfing.
He is survived by his wife, DeeAnn; daughters, Ricquelle, Rebeka, and Nikki of Topeka; son, Zachary of Chicago, IL; brother, Bernard of Palm Bay, FL; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 23 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum. Ron will lie in state after 3 p.m. on Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Topeka Rescue Mission or Midland Care Hospice Services.
