Ronald Ball

Ronald "Ron" D. Ball, 76, of Berryton, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Plaza West Regional Health Center. He was born on November 30, 1933 on Worley Hilltop in Kentucky to Oscar and Lida (Smith) Ball.

Ron was raised in the coal mining area of Kentucky and later moved as a youth with his family to Kansas City. He was a service manager at State Office Systems, where he retired. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, family and friends. Ron was an avid golfer and attended Topeka Bible Church.

Ron is survived by his wife Carol, of the home; his mother of Kansas City, MO; his son, Mike (Lynette) Ball of Berryton; his two granddaughters Samantha and Skylar Ball; his daughter Sheri (Steve) Kinnett and their children; and three siblings Irma Kalcic of Trimble, MO; Pat Duffey of Kansas City, MO and Darrell Ball of Holt, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, daughter Jami and three siblings Doyal Ball, Kay Cloud and Kevin Ball.

A memorial ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Topeka Bible Church. A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, July 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
