Rollin C. Smith, 81, of Topeka passed away Friday Dec. 30, 2005 in Topeka.
He was born May 10, 1924 in Topeka, the son of Ralph C and Marian Carver Smith.
He was a 1941 graduate of Topeka High School. He retired from American Family Insurance as an agent after more than thirty years of service. He was a life member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and a member of the gifts and memorials committee.
He married Jean M. Harris on September 21, 1946 in Beloit, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Kirt L.Smith and his wife Deborah, Topeka, Clark L. Smith and his wife Lori of Columbus, NE; one daughter, Martha K. Gabehart, Auburn; three grandchildren, Rebecca and Daniel Gabehart and Chelsea Smith; one brother, Rodney C. Smith, Kansas City, KS.
Mr. Smith will lie in state after 2:00 pm Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm that evenng. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, Jan 4 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 13th and Boswell, with burial to follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
