Roland H. Cassell, 57, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010.
Roland is survived by his two nephews, Tyrone Cassell, Wichita; and Anthony Cassell, Junction City. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Vivian, a brother, Clifford, a sister, Maria Hickman.
Roland was a veteran of the US Army and a former employee of Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Administration Medical Center for 35 years.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW Tenth Avenue, Topeka KS 66604. Interment will be Monday, March 22, 2010, at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Roland will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the family of Roland H.
