Rodney L. "Rod" Bluma, 64, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
He was born July 5, 1956, in Holton, Kansas, the son of Charlie and Elsie (Person) Bluma.
Rod was a mechanic, owning his own shop, Rod's Welding and Machining, and most recently working at Frito Lay.
He is survived by his fiancé, Sue Seele; step-daughters, Amber (Chris) Wettengel and Cynthia Twombly and their mother, Donna Erquhart; six grandchildren, Dayton, Jazzy, John, Layanna, Cannon, and Ryder; brother, Wyatt Bluma; and niece, Nicole Bluma.
He was preceded by his parents, three brothers, and one step-brother.
Rod loved motorcycles and riding his multiple Harleys, building and fixing anything he could, and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, January 29, 2021 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka. Burial will be held at Saint Patricks Cemetery/Coal Creek Cemetery in Nemaha County. Rod will lie in state after 12noon Thursday, January 28 at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5-7pm.
