Rodene Toulouse, 68, of Edmond, OK passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2006. The daughter of Gordon Jennings (of Denison) and Amelia Zachariasen (of Hoyt), she was born on January 8, 1938 in Topeka, KS and attended Holliday Jr. High and Topeka High School. Rodene married Thomas D. Toulouse, also of Topeka, in 1956. They lived in many U.S. cities prior to returning to Topeka then moved to Edmond in the late 1990's. She is survived by her daughter Marlyce Toulouse, who resides in Los Angeles, Tracy Toulouse and his wife Kathie, their 3 children Chelle, Curt, and Trevor, who live in the Chicago area. She is also survived by her brothers, Merle Jennings and his wife Mary, Bob Jennings and his wife Pat, her brother-in-law, Dick Parker, and each of their daughters and grandchildren. From the Toulouse family, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Larry Toulouse and sister-in-law, Carolyn Bishop, as well as many loving extended family members. Rodene is preceded in death by her mother and father, Amelia and Gordon, her sister Joan Parker, and Rodene's husband, Tom, who passed 2 years ago. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in extended memoriam of Tom Toulouse. Celebration of the Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on July 7, 2006 at Penwell-Gabels, 1321 SW 10th, Topeka, KS.
