Rod Allen Stringer, born on July 28, 1955, in Topeka, passed away peacefully in his hometown on February 26, 2025. Rod led a life characterized by his hard work and dedication, notably at TARC Industries, where he contributed for over 20 years. His colleagues often described him as a friendly and a helpful presence, someone who was always ready to lend a hand and make lasting friendships.
Rod cherished moments spent with his family, particularly during gatherings that revolved around shared meals and laughter. His love for food was only surpassed by his affection for his pet birds, loyal dog, Ernie, who brought him immense joy and companionship. A spirited individual in his youth, Rod participated in track and field, showcasing the energy and enthusiasm that defined his character.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Rhonda (Jeff) Hendricks, Randy (Debbie) Stringer, and Robin (James) Elliot. Additionally, Rod was proud of his extended family, which included seven nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews, who will carry on his memory.
Rod was preceded in death by his father, Nathan Stringer, and his mother, Marie Schott. As his family remembers him, they celebrate his friendly nature, his unwavering helpfulness, and his genuine love for animals, characteristics that enriched the lives of all who had the fortune to know him. His legacy of kindness and hard work will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
