Robert Way

Robert James Way, 80, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at a local hospice house.

Mr. Way was born October 6, 1924 in Elmdale, Kansas, the son of James Walter and Agusta Elizabeth Dicker Way.

He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years and retired in 1988.

He was an elder and an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Topeka.

Mr. Way married Freddie Hinkle on December 30, 1951 in Cottonwood Falls. She died in 1982. Survivors include a son, Michael Way, Seattle, WA; and daughter, Julie Albright, Topeka; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service wil be held on Saturday, at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Way will lie in state after 1:00 P.M. on Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel and the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
