Robert Mack Shrader, 70, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital.
Rob was born May 1, 1946, in Newton, KS, to Donald and Marjorie (McKim) Shrader. He graduated from Newton High School and was drafted into the US Army while attending the University of Kansas. Rob served two years in the infantry and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW Post 11255 in Carbondale, KS.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Shrader of Overland Park, and two brothers, Allen and Steve Shrader.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
