Robert L. Sheppard, 84, of Topeka, passed away March 29, 2018.
He was born June 27, 1933 in Horton, KS. He was the son of Joseph G. and Lola (Norton) Sheppard. He moved to Topeka when he was seven years old.
He was a member of Community Church for 30 years. Robert was involved in Laubach Literacy for 30 years. He operated a national company, Sun Belt Literacy and later worked for Topeka Literacy Council.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Gilmer and Barbara Carlton.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Sheppard) Staton and son in law, Stephen Staton; granddaughters, Tracy (Staton) Pritchard, Nicollette Staton and great granddaughter, Emma Pritchard. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
Graveside service will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Funeral Chapel, and Reception Center, 4700 SW 17th St. Topeka KS.
