Robert W. "Bob" Schultz, 56, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at a Topeka hospital. He was born July 26, 1960 in Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of Arnold and Imogene (Roberts) Schultz.
Bob graduated from Grundy Center High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations & Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. He was employed by the American Heart Association for over 25 years. Bob resided in Waterloo, Iowa, Des Moines, Iowa, Dallas, Texas, Great Falls, Montana and Topeka. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Bob married Jennifer L. Minnich on September 15, 1984 in Grundy Center, Iowa. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Brooke (Carter) Klise of Manhattan, Kansas, Madison Schultz of Topeka, his parents, Arnold and Imogene Schultz of Grundy Center, Iowa and his siblings, Teresa (Rick) Petersen of Urbandale, Iowa, Jan (Merle) Pederson of Des Moines, Iowa, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews along with numerous extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Topeka. An additional memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at the American Lutheran Church, 1103 F. Ave., Grundy Center, Iowa 50638. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2021 SW 29th St., Topeka, Kansas 66611 or the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
