Robert S. Bullard, 85, of Dodge City, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at a Dodge City hospital. He was born March 5, 1926, in Hoehne, CO, the son of Roy E. and Frances Roberts Bullard.
He was an Army veteran of WWII and a life member of Philip-Billard Post No. 1650, V.F.W. He was a truck driver for various transport companies for many years before retiring in 1983.
Robert married Marcella Brungardt on May 3, 1953 in Clayton, NM. She preceded him in death on July 25, 1991. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy and two sisters, Hattie Mae and Clara Norris. Survivors include two daughters, Margorie Ann Mendez of California, Sharon L. Romero of Berryton, three sons, Richard A. Bullard of Berryton, Ron D. Bullard of Omaha, NE, Robert T. Bullard of Denver, CO, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard O. Bullard of Denver, CO.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery where Military Honors will be presented by a Burial Detail from Fort Riley, KS.
