Robert Russell "Bob" Radefeld, 76, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021.
He was born December 30, 1944, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, the son of Ernest Lloyd and Elsie Mildred (Frazier) Radefeld. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School and Washburn University where he received his BBA. He served in the Army National Guard and was called to serve our country in the 69th Infantry during Vietnam.
Bob owned and operated Dodge Carroll Electronics in Topeka for many years before retiring.
He was an active member of Pantera of America and participated in SORC.
Bob married Beverly Kay Dodge on December 1, 1968 in Topeka. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include his son, Russell Robert (Crystal) Radefeld of Stover, MO; four grandchildren, Samantha Radefeld, Zachary Radefeld, Alexander Radefeld and Matthew Radefeld; his sister, Leigh Ann (Roger) Richards of Topeka and brother in law, Dean (Sherry) Dodge as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Aaron David Radefeld.
Bob enjoyed everything about cars, having owned many classics over the years. He was happiest when enjoying time with his friends and family at car shows, cruises, and motorsports events.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. The family would like to celebrate Bob's life with a car show beginning at 5:00 p.m. with military honors at 5:30 p.m. and concluding the celebration at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka. The family encourages his friends to bring their cars who plan to attend. Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Topeka is assisting the family.
