Robert O. Simpson, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Midland Hospice. He was born on July 11, 1922 in Fontanella, Iowa to Robert Ralph and Bessie E. (James) Simpson.
Robert was a cabinet maker for Highland Mills Shop, where he retired after 32 years. He was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene.
On August 21, 1949 he married Barbara A. Holtzapple in McCall, Idaho. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Mark Robert (Rhonda) Simpson of Topeka and a sister, Ruth Mason of Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by three sisters, June, Helen and Thelma and two brothers, Donald and Carl.
Cremation is planned and private family inurnment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
