Robert Manely

Robert "Bob" M. Manely, 82, of Topeka, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at a Topeka health care facility.

He was born May 19, 1920 in Lebanon, Kansas the son of Robert and Eva bailey Manely.

Bob resided in Burlingame, California many years. He had resided in Topeka prior to World War II and returned to Topeka in 1994.

He was a military veteran serving in the United States Air Force in World War II.

He had worked many years in the airline industry retiring from Pan Am Airlines.

He married Marilyn Quinn in 1950. She preceded him in death in April, 1993. He was also preceded in death by one daughter Susan Manely in June, 2002. Survivors include:
his companion, Betty L. Cole Topeka, KS
two sons, Robert S. Manely Bakersfield, CA
Michael Manely San Mateo, CA
a half brother, Jay Manely Lebanon, KS
a step brother, Kenneth Brogdon Raytown, MO
and two grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608 or to the Organization of the Donor's Choice. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
