Robert D. Howard, 65, passed away July 14, 2010 at his home in Topeka.
He was the youngest son of John and Ruby (Sewell) Howard. He attended school in Colorado, Washburn University and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Ranger. Bob was retired from the US Postal Service and was driving for Southern Cal Transportation at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife Sue, daughters Carrie (Travis) Lambert and Dawn (Steve) Lewis, grandson Gunnar, one brother John Howard and two sisters Alberta Walburn and Gale Morgan.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Private family interment will be at Centralia Cemetery, Centralia, KS. Memorials may be directed to Heart of America Hospice and Centralia Cemetery Fund.
