Robert H. Trusdale, 79, died October 31st at a Topeka hospital. A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, November 11th, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Prebyterian Church, 817 S.W. Harrison, Topeka, Kansas.
Bob grew up in Topeka, graduated Washburn University and was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, he retired after 13 out of town transfers and 35 years of service. He was always active in community life and organizations of residence. A lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, member of Rotary Club, City Commissions, Chambers of Commerce, and was delivering "Meals on Wheels" until his death.
In 1950, he married classmate Monna Hutchison and she survives. Thay have three grown children. Tom, Wichita, KS; Melissa (Kurt) Saylor, Sabetha, KS; and John (Soni) of Independence, KS. Seven grandchildren: Matt Saylor, Sabetha, Lindsay Saylor Osterhaus (Ryan) Prairie Village, KS; Mallory Saylor, K-State, and Darby, Cooper, Luke and Reese Trusdale, Independence, KS. He also leaves a sister, Virginia Eicholtz, Topeka and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials have been established with the Washburn University Endowment Fund; First Prebyterian Church, Topeka; and Meals on Wheels, Topeka.
