Robert "Garth" Relihan, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Eventide Convalescent Center. He was born on August 16, 1930 in Smith County, Kansas to Rex and Thelma (Lannigan) Relihan.
Garth was a U.S. Air Force veteran that served during the Korean War. He retired in 1988 as a sheet metal worker with International Association Local Union #77.
He is survived by a sister, Bonnie Roman of Topeka and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathlyn "Katie" Weakly, Marjorie Hisel and Betty Bracken.
A graveside service with military honors will be 11 am Friday, June 22 at Mount Hope Cemetery. Garth will lie in state from 1 pm until 5 pm tomorrow at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
