Robert D. Ochs, 67, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at his residence.
Robert was born June 16, 1942 in LaCrosse, the son of Manuel and Marie E. (Ott) Ochs. He graduated from LaCrosse High School, Ft. Hays State University, and from Washburn Law School in 1966.
He practiced law at several law firms in Topeka, retiring in 2000.
Robert married Catherine Clemens Fockele on December 18, 1971 in Topeka. She died January 25, 2001. Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth Zerr and husband, Darrick, Hoxie; son, Tom Ochs, Topeka; granddaughters, Norie and Ella Zerr; brother, Lee Ochs, Rush Center; and sisters, Betty Kirby, Salina, and Carol Hallett, Great Bend.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private family inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
