RICHARD L. SCOTT

Richard L. Scott, 79, passed away on Friday, March 16th, 2007, of cancer, at Midland Hospice House.

Richard was born December 26, 1927 at Milford, Kansas, the son of Ancel and Freda (Huffman) Scott. He attended Topeka schools and received his high school degree from Topeka High.

Richard was married to Sara E. Parsons, of Topeka, who preceded him in death in 2004. Survivors include his sister, Dolores Martin, Iowa Park, Texas; a brother John Munson of Topeka; and a brother, Thomas (Linda), of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; his uncle Richard (Arlene) Scott, of Topeka. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Richard was honorably discharged from the United States army in September 1947.

He worked for Sears Roebuck in the Los Angeles area for 30 years before retiring back to Topeka in 1983. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the time he spent at Lake Pomona on his boat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Phyllis Atkinson and her husband George; his stepfather, John E. Munson; all of Topeka.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12th, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
