Richard O. "Rich" Richardson, 66, Mayetta, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008, at Midland Hospice House.
Rich was born June 29, 1942 in Comanche, OK, the son of Richard and Orah (McCollum) Richardson. He graduated from Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, CA and received a Bachelor's degree from National University.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army reserve, retiring in 1998. He worked as a deputy with the San Diego County Sheriff's Office for over 20 years, retiring in 2000. He moved to Mayetta in 2000.
Rich married Susan Schuh on February 20, 1983 in San Diego. She survives. Other survivors include children, Richard, Dawn and Jamie; and brothers, John and James. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
