Richard L. Jones, 76, of Tecumseh, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012.
He was born January 31, 1936, in Topeka, the son of Lloyd & Mary (Gieber) Jones.
Richard was a graduate of Perry High School.
Mr. Jones was employed by M. Katch & Company for 35 years before retiring.
Richard married Kaaren Luetje on July 29, 1961, in Topeka, she survives. Other survivors include a son, Richard Karl Jones; a daughter Kendra (Jon) Poole; four granddaughters, KC Kupperman, Kayla Poole, Paxton Poole, and Jenna Poole; three siblings, Patricia Frye, Lloyd Jones Jr., and Jacqueline Creek.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Etta Fleck.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604. Memorial contributions may be made to Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network, PO Box 1354, Menifee, CA 92585.
