Richard Lee Hutchison

Richard Lee "Hutch" Hutchison, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

He was born on November 19, 1944 in Topeka, KS to Cyrus Sr. and Karlolina (Keil) Hutchison.

Following his education, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years, completing one tour in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, he went on to work as a freelance auto body painter.

He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Linda Rath, of Topeka; sons, Shane Hutchison, Brad Hutchison, Nicholas Hutchison, and Christopher (Marsha) Stafford; brothers, Al (Rita) Hutchison, Cyrus Jr. (Arlene) Hutchison, Raymond Hutchison, and Robert Hutchison; sisters, Alice Flye, and Carolyn (Leroy) Jurgensmeier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Virgina (Red) Stogdill, and Sylvia (Glenn) Packer.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
