Richard dedicated over two decades to Systems Furniture Installation/
Maintenance at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Topeka, KS.

department at Laird Noller Ford in Topeka, KS.
On September 25, 1997, Richard married Melody Rust. Richard and Melody lived in Ozawkie, Ks.
While they later took separate paths, their friendship allowed for a cohesive team in co-parenting their
son Joshua Bruner, age 17, both having relocated to Topeka, KS.
Richard showed compassion by lending a helping hand to others with his ability to help and fix almost anything.
He enjoyed spending his spare time fishing with his son. Through the years he enjoyed
camping. He was the best griller and breakfast maker for his family. Richard flew his Kansas
City Chiefs flags high, looking forward to game days. It wasn't just about football but also
cheering on his team and spending quality time with his son. Richard's favorite holiday was the 4th of July.
He loved buying and shooting off the biggest and best fireworks to light up the sky. The lasting memories and
the brightness he brought to the lives of those who knew him we will hold in our hearts forever.
