Raymond "Ray" Daudet, 82, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 from mixed phenotype, acute leukemia B Myeloid and heart problems.
He was born March 21, 1938, in Bulger, Pennsylvania, the son of Omer and Helene (Rebet) Daudet. He went to Aliquippa High School in Pennsylvania. He was in the Air Force for four years. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years as a carman.
He loved golfing; sports, especially the Steelers and Chiefs. He enjoyed reading and music. In his lifetime, he read the Bible completely three times. Above all else he loved his wife, children and family.
Raymond married Janet "Darlene" Wymer on October 9, 1959. They have been married for 61 years, she survives. Other survivors include his children, David Daudet, Sheri (John Atkins) Daudet, Denise Daudet, and Matthew Daudet; siblings, Donald Daudet from Avella, PA, Dolores Christian of Monaca, PA, Helen Rivetti of Aliquippa, PA, Joy Wiles of Wexford, PA, Geraldine Fischer of Tulsa, OK, and Larry Daudet of Cypress, TX and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Omer Daudet, Jr., Frances Yaworski, and Betty Podolski.
We would like to thank Dr. Carcioni and his entire staff for their outstanding treatment and concerns. We also want to thank Sheila Brewster with the love and care she had for Ray and a special thank you to his friend of 60 years, David Cregut and Mary Jane.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Mount Hope Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka. The family will greet friends an hour prior to service time. Entombment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
