Raymond E. Mauderly, 95, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020.
He was born September 3, 1925, in Chase County, Kansas, the son of Frank and Clara (Beikmann) Mauderly. He attended Linn High School.
Raymond joined the army in 1944. He spent two years in the army during World War II. While serving, he was wounded on D- Day June 6, 1944 and received a purple heart. He also received two bronze stars for his service in the Army.
Raymond was employed by Goodyear for 30 years and later retired.
Mr. Mauderly was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, of Topeka where he served as a custodian for a number of years.
Raymond enjoyed watching basketball and football. He farmed as a hobby.
Survivors include two cousins Richard (Marilyn) Bruenger, of Topeka, Kansas and Deltin Beikmann, of Linn, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ruth E. Mauderly, Wilfred Mauderly, and Merlin Mauderly.
