Ray Bachman, Jr.

Ray Bachman, Jr., 89, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Midland Hospice. He was born February 6, 1924 in Protection, Kansas, the son of Ray, Sr. and Margaret (Fuller) Bachman.
Ray graduated from Topeka High School. He was a supervisor for the U.S. Post Office, retiring after 36 years. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
On February 10, 1944 he married Rita Davis, she survives. Other survivors include their children, Nancy (Bill) Hodgson, Woodinville, WA and Jane (Harold) Lane, Topeka, sister, Lenora Anderson, Topeka; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David and brother, Bill.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16 at Penwell-Gabel-Mid-Town Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jellison Chapel at Presbyterian Manor.
