Randal J. Swain, 44, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital.
Randy was born October 24, 1961 in Iola, KS. He attended Topeka West High School and later worked for the VA Medical Center for 14 years.
He married Kim Christianson and they have a daughter, Kylee Ann Swain; of Pharr, Texas. They later divorced.
Other survivors include his mother, Luella Heisler of Topeka; his birth mother, Nadine Rumold of Chanute, KS; his father, Willard Swain of Akron, OH; his sister, Terri Conger of O'Fallon, MO; his brother, Jerry Horn of Chanute, KS; three nieces, two aunts, two uncles, and eight cousins. He was preceded in death by his step father, William Heisler.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel and burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Swain will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. on Sunday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. that evening.
