Randall D. Johnson, 48, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at his home. He was born on February 10, 1964 in Topeka, Kansas to Ronald D. and Marilyn K. (Apps) Johnson.
At a very young age, Randy was a business owner of Empire Graphics. He later worked for the Kansas Chamber, where he started as a printing manager and later the technology manager. Most recently, he was employed as a juvenile corrections officer for the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex. Randy was a member of Grace Episcopal Cathedral.
Randy loved playing the drums, photography, politics, and was a huge NASCAR fan. Clint Bowyer was his favorite driver. He will be lovingly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and the kindness he showed others.
On July 2, 2005, he married Jennifer McKinley at Grace Episcopal Cathedral in Topeka, she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Nicole R. MacMillan of Topeka; Sayla R. McKinley of Topeka; Sara B. McKinley of Kansas City and Korrie Elizabeth Johnson of Lawrence; one brother, Russell D. Johnson of Topeka; one granddaughter, Emmy Rose of Topeka and one Goddaughter, Charity Gano of Topeka.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. The Very Reverend Steve Lipscomb will officiate.
