Randal L. Dittemore, 62, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013.
He was born July 8, 1951 in Hiawatha, Kansas, the son of Melvin Lee and Dorothy Marie (Keenan) Dittemore. He was a 1970graduate of Plattsmouth High School in Plattsmouth, NE. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
Survivors include a son, Brad Stahl, Columbus, NE; three siblings, Tom (Linda) Dittemore, Littleton, CO, Linda (Jimmy) Glines, Papillion, NE and Michael (Terry) Dittemore, Plattsmouth, NE; several nieces and nephews and their children; and his caregiver, Kenny Smith, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Thomas and Jessie Dittemore and Arthur and Jessie Keenan and a nephew Jimmy Glines, Jr.
Randy was an accomplished artist and musician having played in many local bands and having won many awards in V.A. Music and Art Festivals.
Cremation is planned. A wake will be held by friends and family at 6 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the World Cup Café, 21st and Washburn, Topeka.
Graveside services and inurnment will be 1 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Plattsmouth, NE. The family will receive friends after the service at the VFW in Plattsmouth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the 2100 Club, 2100 Central Park, Topeka, KS 66611.
