Ramona Perez, "Monie or Nina" 88, passed away at home on January 8, 2019.
She was born May 28, 1930 the daughter of Eustascio and Francisca (Valdivia) Perez. Ramona was very proud to have graduated from Our Lady of Guadalupe Elementary School and Hayden High School. She worked as a medical secretary at Lattimore Fink and Damon Laboratories. She later worked as the membership secretary at the Kansas Medical Society. Ramona volunteered as the parish secretary during the assignment of the Augustinian Recollect Priests. During retirement, she enjoyed making quilts, volunteering and visiting her brother and sister while they were in the nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Eustascio, Norbert Sr., Manuel, Hazel, Lupe, Josephine and Alexandria.
She is survived by her niece, Frances Oliva, who shared Ramona's family home for 44 years; her brother Socorro "Coryell", Missouri. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family will greet friends 10:00 a.m. Friday, January, 11, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler, Topeka, KS 66616. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 following the visitation at the church. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated the same day at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to acknowledge Midland Care Hospice and Thrive at Home staff who treated Ramona with great care and gentleness, especially Ruthie.

Ramona will be cremated and interred in the family plot at a later date.
