Ramona Ilene Lanning Phillips, 77, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her home.
She was born August 22, 1932 in Sabetha, KS, the daughter of John and Pearl Lillian (Swan) Lanning. She was a graduate of Sabetha High School.
Ramona married William Joe "Bill" Phillips on April 18, 1953 in Olathe, KS. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2008. Survivors include her children, Daniel Wayne Phillips, Bellevue, NE, Pamela Diane Lewis (Don), Weedville, PA, and Jonie Jo Tackett (Robert), Huntsville, AL; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Angela and Joey Lewis, Carly and Nicholas Phillips and Lillian Tackett.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Sabetha Cemetery, Sabetha, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, 4300 Drury Lane, Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
