Ralph Edward "Bull" Nocktonick died on the evening of January 6, 2010.
He was born at home to his parents, Joseph "Punk" and Louise Katherine (Tork) Nocktonick on June 4, 1943.
He attended Topeka High and then joined the Navy during the Vietnam War. He served on the destroyer USS Walker as a Machinist mate from 1961 through 1966. He then went to a trade school in Beloit.
He worked for the Capital Journal in the mail room for 20 years.
In 1983 Ralph married Janice Clouse. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Megan Marie Nocktonick, Topeka; step son, Troy Clouse, Nashville, TN; grandson, Dagen Clouse, Lawrence; brothers, Joe, Albert, Rich and Lou, all of Mayetta; and nephew, "Little Joe". He was preceded in death by his parents and step son, Dion Clouse.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10. 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A Drumming ceremony will follow in Mayetta. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
