Ralph D. Joyce, 73, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Medical Center.
He was born on August 19, 1939 in Minneapolis, Kansas to Ralph Burton and Florence Joyce. He was a member of Good Shepherd Family Church, Moose Lodge since 1978 and V.F.W. Post No. 1650.
On August 19, 1961, he married Stephanie Lea Van Sickel in Mankato, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 7, 1999. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary and his parents.
He is survived by his children, Ralph Steven, Mary Theresa Wallace and Michael Van all of Topeka; two siblings, Donna (Michael) Brandon of Mankato, Kansas and Dennis Joyce of Scottsdale, Arizona; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 2 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Visitation will follow the service from 6:30-8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Huntington's Association Huntington Study Group, KU Medical Center, 3901 Rainbow Blvd.
