Phyllis Foltz

Phyllis Foltz, 89, of Topeka, passed away March 14, 2010, at Midland Care Hospice House.

Phyllis Foltz was born January 6, 1921 in Topeka to Clifford and Esther (Rodeen) Fager. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School and St. Francis School of Nursing.

She married Martin Foltz on July 10, 1943 in Topeka. Phyllis was active in PEO, West Hills Garden Club, and was a volunteer at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library Book Sale. She was an active, long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Poston (Gregg), Nashua, NH, and Becky Caronna (Paul) Keller, TX; a son, Tom Foltz (Connie), Topeka; a sister, Marge Smith, Bella Vista, AR; a brother, Dean Fager, Topeka; and six grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1275 SW Boswell, Topeka, 66604. Burial will be private. Phyllis will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, 66604, where visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Midland Care Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606.
