Phyllis Edgar
Phyllis N. Edgar, 85, Topeka, passed away Monday, February 21 at a local care facility.
She was born July 23, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of William V. and Gelia O. Messler Underwood.
She married Robert L. Edgar on March 23, 1943 in Oakland, CA. They later divorced.
Survivors include three sons: Gerald Edgar, Sacramento, CA; William Edgar and Paul Edgar, both of Topeka; two sisters, Wilma Schelldorf, Albany, OR and Margaret Slankard, Leavenworth; five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday February 28, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Cremation will follow.
Mrs. Edgar will lie in state after noon Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 pm.
