Phyllis A. Leupold, 86, of Tecumseh, died Sunday, June 18, 2006.
She was born Oct. 9, 1919 at Greenleaf, KS, the daughter of Albert R. Clearman and Gwendolyn G. Reagan Clearman. After High School graduation she entered Christ's Hospital School of Nursing, Topeka, KS, graduating in 1941. As a Registered Nurse, she was active in her profession for many years.
Phyllis married Gustav P. Leupold on Feb. 9, 1946 and made their home at Tecumseh, KS. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1965. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard W. Clearman.
After retirement, she volunteered in a Topeka Public School media center.
Survivors include daughter, Diane A. Leupold and husband, Craig A. Haugsness, Topeka; son, Paul W. Leupold, San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two nephews and one niece.
Graveside services will be at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to sign the guest register after 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening.
