Phillip O. Davison, 76, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at his home. Phil was born January 9, 1938 in Topeka, the son of Sidney and Naomi Hamilton Davison. He attended Seaman High School and graduated from Meriden High School in 1956.

Phil enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at San Diego, CA and served from 1956 - 1960. He served as a Firing Range Instructor and was an expert marksman. He served in the 3rd Marine Division, 4.2 Mortars Company and was stationed in the Philippines, Japan and Okinawa.

Phil was employed in the dry wall and framing construction field. He was an accomplished dry wall finisher for 35 years and was also employed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company from 1967 - 1979.
He was a member of Gage Park Baptist Church and served as Property Chairman and Fellowship Chairman.

Phil married Carolyn Bonjour on October 7, 1962 in Onaga. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Scott (Terri) Davison, two grandsons, Dustin Davison, Ryan Davison, one step-granddaughter, Jaden Boeck, three great-grandchildren, one half-brother, Richard Reser and his uncle and aunt, Warren and Elsie Hamilton.

Phil was preceded in death by one son, Chris Davison, his father and step-mother, Sidney and Emma Davison and his mother and step-father, Naomi and Eugene Reser and his brother, Wayne "Buddy" Davison.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Gage Park Baptist Church. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place in the Neuchatel Cemetery near Onaga, KS at a later date. Phil will lie in state from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Gage Park Baptist Church, 3601 SW 10th St., Topeka, KS 66604 or Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
