Phillip B. Johnson

Phillip B. Johnson, 81, of Topeka died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born April 16, 1926 at his rural home in Dwight, KS, the beloved son of Victor and Alice (Becker) Johnson, and was baptized and confirmed at Marion Hill Lutheran Church. Phil graduated from Dwight high school in 1944. He worked for Goodyear in Topeka, for 15 years. He was a Mason in the Kansas York Rite Chapter #73 and the Herrington Commandery #53 for over 50 years. He also was past president of the Gig Harbor, WA, Gem Club. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Kathryn, 3 daughters; Vikki (Richard) Skinner of Chicago, IL, Franci (Rob) Nicks of Maize, KS, Phyl LaRae of Lawrence, one son, Kyron (Susan) of Derby, KS, step-children, Theresa (Roger) Kenzie, Topeka, Daniel Brown, Fl, and Michael Brown, CO, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday April 27, 2007 at New Hope Methodist Church, 2915 SW 8th, Topeka at 2:00. There will be a memorial service and internment at Marion Hill Lutheran Church in rural White City, KS at 11:00 on Saturday April 28, 2007. A memorial has been established with Midland Care Services for the Elderly, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
