Philip Lillard Lewis, 68, of Valley Center, KS, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at St. Francis in Wichita.
Philip was born on January 31, 1939 in Topeka, KS, the son of Philip Henry and Mary (Lillard) Lewis. He graduated from Topeka High and Washburn University.
He was united in marriage to Marilyn A. Sutton on June 21, 1971 in Wichita.
Philip retired from the Wichita Eagle Newspaper and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wichita.
Surviving him are, his wife, Marilyn, of the home; daughter, Jennifer Lewis of Valley Center; brother, Tom Lewis of Topeka; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marion Pitkin.
Graveside inurnment services for Mr. Lewis will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2007 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be given to The Lord's Diner, 520 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67214 or to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
