Peter David Langer

Peter David Langer died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with Parkinsons. He was born July 7, 1929 in Hounslow, Middlesex, England. Peter married Primrose Langer in 1982. He retired from the Anglian Water Department, Ipswich, England in 1986 and moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1987. He is survived by three step children Cherie L. Wooten-McGinnis, Leslie C. Burbank, Clyde W. Carter; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Peter was a naturalist and world traveler. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved to sail, cycle, long walks, his cats and to be read to. He was a man of few words, a beautiful smile and a big heart. He enjoyed good friends and family cookouts. In his passing Peter says Cheers to a full life well lived. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 To everything there is a season Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. 8:30 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinsons Disease Association NE Kansas or the American Cancer Society for Ovarian Cancer in care of the funeral home.
