Peggy S. McDonald, Age 51, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away September 14, 2005 at St. Francis Health Center.
She was born September 10, 1954 in Ottawa, Kansas to Olin Lewis and Betty Jean Parker Neilson. She was married to Robert A. McDonald for 26 years. He survives.
Peggy graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1972 and graduated Kaw Area Technical School as a Key Punch Operator. She also attended Washburn University for two years.
She was employed by Santa Fe Railroad from 1977 until she retired disabled from BNSF in 1996. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her "best friend", her loving husband, Bob, family, and friends; while focusing on her children and grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling with her bowling team of many years. Though her family was her first love, she thoroughly enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Jennifer McDonald, and Megan Meredith and husband Kyle; three grandchildren, Whitney, Kylie, and Baily, one brother, Larry Neilson and wife Carol of MO; two sisters, Kathy Bredahl of Topeka, and Lorraine Breitweiser and husband Tom of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. A visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. prior to service. Burial service will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Topeka.
