Peggy June Hards, 84, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Aldergate Village.
She was born April 27, 1931 in Omaha, NE to Forrest and Mabel (Morgan) Fletchall.
She graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1949 and graduated from secretary school in Topeka. Peggy was a Secretary to the Credit Manager at Capper Paper, which was later purchased by Stauffer Publications, from 1950 to 1970. She was later an Executive Secretary to the President of The Kansas Hospital Association from 1972 until her retirement in 1994.
Peggy married Bobby D. Hards on December 24, 1954 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2013. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Forrest E. Fletchall.
Survivors include sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nephews and nieces.
Peggy will lie in state after 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW. 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604 where the family will receive friends until service time. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with private entombment at a later date.
