Peggy J. (Bruce) Hoag, 61, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020.
She was born September 27, 1958, in Anthony, KS, the daughter of Verlyn DeWayne Bruce and Martha Jane (Platner) McKay.
Peggy worked as a florist. She owned and operated Garden Gate Florist in Topeka.
Peggy married Roy Eugene Hoag on July 2, 1994 in Topeka.
Survivors include her husband, Roy; her daughter, Jennifer Schreiner of Americus, KS; her grandchildren, Brandon Larkins, Madison Bauer-Schreiner, Mia Bauer-Schreiner, Malia Bynum, Sophia Bynum and Hayden Coop; her siblings, Deena (Glen) Williams, Tammy (Mike) Johnson, Judy (Darin) Smith and Jeff Bruce. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Peggy enjoyed gardening, designing and working as a florist. She was a big fan of KU Basketball. Most of all she loved her family and being a "Nana" to her grandchildren.
Honoring Peggy's request, cremation is planned. A visitation will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, September 18, 2020 at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604. A graveside will take place at 9:00 am, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at McPherson Cemetery in McPherson, KS.
