Pearl L. Mccammon

April 15, 1920 — September 17, 2014

Pearl L. McCammon, 94, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Midland Hospice House.

Pearl was born on April 15, 1920 in Topeka to Charles and Lillian (Keim) McWhinney.

She married Raymond McCammon in Kansas City in 1945 and the couple moved to Tecumseh in 1948.

Pearl and Raymond loved to travel and she had a particular passion for dancing. She volunteered extensively, especially with her church, the Tecumseh United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her time living at McCrite's and the many friends that she made there.

She is survived by two sons, Larry and his wife Sharrai of Tecumseh, and Tom of San Diego, CA. Pearl is also survived by a grandson, Brian and wife Miranda, and twin great-granddaughters, Crystal and Julia.

A memorial service will be held at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20; the family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, 334 SE Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh KS 66542 or Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle Topeka, KS 66606.
