Pauline M. Bolze, 90, of Topeka, KS, passed away on January 6, 2018 at Aldersgate Village.
She was born on August 2, 1927 in Brazilton, KS to Alvin C. Selle and Viola Catherine Adelia (Bennefeld) Selle.
She married Merlin I. Bolze on February 6, 1949 in Girard, KS. They were married for 64 years, and raised five sons together before he preceded her in death on July 22, 2013.
Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family, square dancing, being an active member at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, painting, and playing the organ. She loved crafting, and making small gifts for her family and friends.
Pauline worked in food service for the Seaman School District 345.
She is survived by four sons, Kim (Judy) Bolze, Kerry (Clyta) Bolze, Kris (Angie) Bolze, and Kurt Bolze, all of Topeka; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Selle; brother-in-law, Cletus VonSoosten; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin I. Bolze; a son, Kevin Bolze; and a grandson, Shane Bolze.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aldersgate for their loving care given to Pauline while she lived in the York Square unit.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Rd.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the Good Samaritan Fund at Aldersgate Village.
