Pauline B. "Paula" Hagen, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at a Topeka retirement center. She was born on October 20, 1918 in Eolia, KY, the daughter of Dock and Elizabeth Blair Boggs. Paula lived in Eolia for 19 years before moving to Topeka in 1937 where she has since resided. She owned and operated Kan.Do Pedigree Service for several years. Paula was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church. She was also a 50 year member of the Philip Billard Post No. 1650, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary where she had served as president from 1949-1950. Paula married Thomas E. "Ed" Hagen on December 22, 1951 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Georgette Ellwood. Survivors include four sisters, Audrey Hawley, Germaine Malloy, La Ange Ginavan and Shirley Ruyack all of Topeka and two brothers, Eugene Boggs of Michagan and Bert Francis of Kentucky. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Paula will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W. Rochester Rd., Topeka, Ks. 66617.
