Paul E. Miller, 59, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka. He was born on September 26, 1948 in Topeka, the son of Jesse Lee and Lois Little Miller. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1967. He was a Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He then became a Marine Corps Reservist and Army Reservist, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was employed by the City of Topeka Water Department for 30 years before retiring in December of 1999. He was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion. Paul married Marsha Montague in February of 1970. They were divorced. Paul married Elaine Carlton April of 1984. They were divorced. Survivors include three sons, Doug, Jason, Jesse, two daughters, Carrie and Melissa, six grandchildren, three brothers, Jerry, Robert, Jesse and two sisters, Karen and Betty Jo. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Paul will lie in state 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
