Paul Levern Jones, 90, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015.
He was born May 7, 1925, in Topeka, KS the son of Ray and Marjorie Jones. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Griffin.
Paul was employed by the Western Electric Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.
Paul married Marilyn Joyce Link on February 28, 1953 in Topeka, KS. He was a devoted husband and they were blessed with 62 years of marriage, four children, daughter, Karen, sons, Larry, Brian, and David; six grandchildren, Tonya (Aaron), Jason (Kelly), Richard, Travis (Kelly), Joshua and Stephanie and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Wayne (Peggy) Link and three sisters, Iona, Frances, and Maxine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and six sisters.
Paul will lie in state from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. in Topeka. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
