Paul J. Dixon Jr., 75, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at a Topeka hospital surrounded by his immediate family. He was born on October 2, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul J. and Marie (Walsh) Dixon.
Paul served in the United States Marine Corps. He resided in Topeka since 2011. Formerly, Paul resided in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and several Northeastern states. He was most recently employed by Deutsche Bank.
Paul is survived by his spouse Nancy J. (Maydew) Dixon; they recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary. Other survivors include their children, Kimberly (Michael) Lanier of St. Joseph, Michigan, Paul J. (Patricia) Dixon, III of Columbia, South Carolina, Suzanne (Michael) Dixon of Dallas, Texas, Kyle Clifton of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren (Sarah, Aimee, Katherine, Courtney, Brittany, Matthew, Jackson, and Theodore); seven great-grandchildren; Paul's siblings, Nora Koller, Kathleen Spratt, Daniel (Patricia) Dixon, Mary Dixon, Christine (Robert) Lavigne, and Joyce Dixon; and Paul's former spouse, Irene Fiskars.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Suzanne Dixon, and his brother-in-law Richard Spratt.
Cremation has taken place and as per Paul's wishes, no memorial services are planned. The family is planning a future private inurnment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a charity which Paul enjoyed supporting. You may contribute by mailing a check payable to "Toys for Tots" to P.O. Box 19515, Topeka, KS, 66619 (please include a memo on the check that the contribution is in memory of Paul Dixon).
